The Group Coaching EssentialsTM (GEC) program from Potentials Realized is an interactive, hands-on program dedicated to supporting coaches who wish to develop their own group coaching programs.

Join author of Effective Group Coaching, Jennifer Britton, PCC, CPCC for this practical and road-tested program. This program is delivered as 5 x 75 minute teleseminar calls on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Course size is limited to 8 coaches per session to ensure maximum course participation and tailoring to your learning needs.

A majority of coaches are ready to launch and market their own group coaching program at the end of this program, or shortly thereafter. Since 2006 this program has been taken by over 300 coaches from around the world -- including across North America, the UK, Germany, New Zealand. This program is accredited for 6.25 CCE(Continuing Coach Education) Units from the International Coach Federation for ACC, PCC and MCCs.

The course outline is as follows:
 
Week 1: The Foundation of Group Coaching
  • What Group Coaching is, how it differs from one-on-one coaching;
  • The differences and similarities between group coaching, workshops and retreats;
  • Adult Learning Principles and the Experiential Education model;
  • 12 Best Practices of Group Coaching

Week 2:The Nuts and Bolts of Developing Group Coaching

  • Creative Processes for Developing Group Coaching;
  • The How To's: Technical and Logistical Issues;

  • Techniques and Templates for Developing and Running Your Program

Week 3: Marketing Group Coaching

  • Knowing Your Audience;
  • General Marketing Principles;
  • Materials to support you in the development of your marketing efforts
Week 4: Filling Up Your Toolbox – Exercises and Other Resources for Group Coaching
  • Tools you already have as a coach which you can adapt for a group coaching session
  • A mini-toolkit of new exercises for you to bring into your next group coaching program
Week 5: Habits of Great Group Coaches

The program costs $275 US/275 CDN (plus GST).

 
Included in the program are:
  • 5 x 75 minute weekly calls (including a group follow up call one month after the initial series to check in on progress with your programs and answer any outstanding questions)
  • A comprehensive e-manual of tools, templates, exercises and other resources (70 pages)
  • 1-1 meetings pre and post course with Jennifer
  • Individual lazer coaching sessions (15 minutes/each) as requested throughout the program
  • A certificate of completion at the end of the program
Space is limited to 6-8 coaches ensure individualized attention.
