Facilitation Skills Intensive - Train-the-Trainer

The first Virtual Facilitation Skills Intensive -a 15 hour train-the-trainer is being held on Thursdays from 2 - 5 pm ET on Thursdays on July 7, 21, 28, August 4 and 11 This program focuses specifically at honing your virtual facilitation skills.

We also deliver in house programs for your teams of leaders or facilitators. Optimum group size is 6-12 group members.

This program is designed for professionals interested in acquiring group facilitation skills and gaining creative techniques for working with teams and groups. If you are a manager, coach, leader, trainer who is looking to enhance create more powerful learning experiences through enhanced facilitation skills, this program is for you.
 
This is a "train the trainer" program geared to help professionals develop and practice group facilitation skills. Both new and group facilitators with some experience will benefit from this program which includes practice and feedback.

During this intensive two day program you will learn:

• The skills, competencies and best practices of successful facilitators,
• How your skills compare through a Facilitator Self-Assessment,
• How to identify participant learning styles and preferences,
and implement facilitation techniques to accommodate them
• How to be sensitive to different phases of group formation and how to adapt your facilitation style to meet the different needs,
• How to create a positive climate for learning,
• Specific techniques on how to deal with difficult participants,
• Specific techniques to conduct and debrief learning activities,
• Build your toolbox - Exploration and practice with more than 20 facilitation processes for opening, closing, decision making, creating focus, goal setting, accountability, consensus generation, action planning
• How to manage the logistics and finer details of a learning event (in-person or virtually/by phone)

You will also:

  • Receive opportunities for practice and feedback throughout the program. Each participant will lead us through a 20-25 minute group facilitation process of their choice.
  • Prepare a personal Action Plan including strategies to further practice your new facilitation skills in your work.

A manual which includes:
  • a comprehensive resource guide of web-based and printed material
  • selected facilitation exercises and tools you can implement into your next team and facilitation work

The program includes 15 hours of instruction plus a group follow-up call one month after the in-person intensive to check in on your facilitation skills practice. Each intensive usually involves 5-12 participants.

Program Details:

Day 1 runs from 8:30 - 5 pm, Day 2 runs from 8:30 - 4:30 pm

Program Cost: $850 Canadian plus HST for public programs.

Virtual Offering
- Can't make it to Toronto? Join us for the Virtual Delivery of the Facilitation Skills Intensive. The program is offered over a series of weeks and you will participate in all of the same content a in -person. Please visit our dedicated website FacilitationSkillsIntensive.com to learn more about the Virtual Delivery option. Upcoming sessions start Thursday February 4, 2016 at 12noon ET (Five weeks of 3 hour blocks). Cost for the virtual program is $950 US. Includes materials and a weekly call with Jennifer (15 minutes). Callers are responsible for their own long distance charges to the US based bridgeline. You will also need to have access to Skype for some of our calls.
